It is that time of year again! Time for JCCUD to perform our Natural Gas annual leak survey. This leak survey is done annually on our distribution system. It will begin the end of May and continue for a few months. You will see our technicians during this time working in your neighborhoods. Jefferson City will receive a full survey this year. This means all residential service lines and all business service lines will be checked for leaks from the meter to the road. Dandridge, White Pine, and Newport will only receive a business survey which includes churches, schools, restaurants, and businesses as required by the U.S. Department of Transportation. Our greatest commitment at JCCUD is to safety and one way we accomplish that is through leak surveys. Being proactive in finding and repairing leaks in which most are minor, prevents future hazards.
